Every Thursday South Flavas presents Neo-Soul Lounge and Poetry Reading at Club Illusions. Club Illusion is located 2700 Pecan Street W. in Pflugerville (1825 W and Central Commerce).Acts can include anything from spoken word to singing and monologues, with neo-soul music sliced in between. SADDI KHALI, the ultimate mix-master, refuses to be limited by genre.  As a writer/performer/photographer, his poetry has appeared in numerous national journals and anthologies, most recently, Dark Eros, Beyond The Frontier, and Be A Father To Your Child. Saddi has rocked stages from HBO’s Def Poetry to the Apollo Theater’s Salon Series and toured for 2 years with UPROOTED: The Katrina Project. Khali’s photography has graced the likes of Essence Magazine and the cover of the Random House book, Triksta. He recently formed Medicine Media, an organization that promotes and creates more culturally competent images of people of color through the strategic use of art and media, and he is finishing Magnify! Manifest!, his 1st evening-length theater show.
